President’s Message

The 2018 CCPRO conference in Sacramento demonstrated once again the immense value that our organization provides. Conference attendees learned about the history of the organization from the All PROs who attended, picked up some tips that will help them do their jobs better at the many workshops that were offered, and got to celebrate some of the best work being done by community college marketers at the annual CCPRO Awards dinner. Of course, much of the best value from the conference came from the informal networking that went on, whether it was on the Hornblower cruise or at the hotel bar late at night.

Putting on a conference is a tremendous amount of work, particularly for an all-volunteer organization like CCPRO. I’d like to thank the CCPRO Board and everyone who helped with the conference. If you would like to learn more about CCPRO or help with the 2019 conference, please contact me or a CCPRO board member.

CCPRO is a success because of the support of community college marketers across California. When the call goes out to submit your best work for the CCPRO Awards, be sure to gather together your best work so you’ll have a chance for it to get the recognition it deserves. And consider submitting a request to conduct a workshop at the annual CCPRO conference – it’s your way to share your knowledge and spread the good ideas that can benefit other CCPRO members.

The 2019 conference will be held at the Bahia Hotel and Resort, on the beach in sunny San Diego. We hope to see you there!
